Oppo F3 gets a price cut in India

It seems like it is the season of price cuts as many smartphone makers are slashing the prices of their handsets. Another company to join the bandwagon is Oppo. The company has announced a price cut of Rs 3,000 for its selfie smartphone Oppo F3. Launched at Rs 19,990, the handset is now available at Rs 16,990.

"The Market Operating Price of F3 has been adjusted from Rs 18,990 to Rs 16,990. The revised price will be in effect from December 29th, 2017. This is a standard price revision of the product," said the company.


At the time of filing this story, online marketplaces Amazon and Flipkart were still reflecting the original prices.
The highlight of the smartphone is the dual selfie camera. It has a 16MP primary selfie camera and an 8MP secondary camera with 6P lens, f/2.0 aperture and Beautify 4.0 image enhancing technology. There is a 13MP rear camera with PDAF sensor as well. Users can also click 120-degree wide angle images using the secondary front-facing camera. The handset will also alert users when they need to use the group-selfie mode instead of the regular mode.
The Oppo F3 runs Color OS 3.0 based on Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box and features a 5.5-inch full HD In-Cell display with 1080x1920p resolution and 2.0mm thin screen bezels.
The device is backed by a 3200mAh battery and also has fast-charging capabilities. It is powered by an octa-core 64-bit processor paired with 4GB of RAM. It features 64GB of internal storage, which can be expanded using a microSD card. It sports a fingerprint sensor as well.

Another Chinese smartphone maker Vivo also slashed the price of its recently launched smartphone with 24MP front camera, Vivo V7. Launched at Rs 18,990, the smartphone has got a price cut of Rs 2,000 and is now available at Rs 16,990. Earlier exclusive to Flipkart, the smartphone is now available at all the leading online and offline stores in the country. </span>
