Oppo F9 teased with two rear-mounted cameras ahead of India launc...

Just a day after Oppo India teased its upcoming smartphone Oppo F9 Pro on its official website, it has shared two images of the toned-down version of the smartphone, the Oppo F9, on Twitter. The two photos delve out information about the colours and design as well as the type, and placement of cameras and the fingerprint sensor. The photos that were posted earlier suggest that the Oppo F9 will have the same design as the Oppo F9 Pro and feature a ‘Waterdrop’ notch at the front.

The first thing that the latest Oppo F9 images tell us is that the phones will come in at least two colours, Sunrise Red and Twilight Blue. The back panel of the devices are expected to sport a designer pattern. The Oppo F9 will come with a horizontally-stacked dual-camera setup placed at the top-left corner on the back. On the right of the cameras, there is an LED flash but we cannot confirm if it’s a Dual-Tone flash. The fingerprint sensor has a silver outline and is placed below the cameras, accompanied by Oppo branding.

As mentioned, Oppo has teased the ‘waterdrop’ design in both the phones and both the phones look a lot similar to each other. The latest F-series smartphones have a single front-facing camera housed in the ‘triangular’ notch and above it sits the earpiece. There are very thin side bezels and the phones can be seen with a thick chin. A cutout for the headphone jack can be seen at the bottom and the teaser images suggest that the F9 Pro supports the company’s proprietary VOOC Flash Charge technology. The smartphone is claimed to deliver two hours of talk time after just five minutes of charging.
