Oppo to launch a flagship phone after 4 years: The Find X with 3 cameras

After a long gap of nearly four years, Chinese smartphone maker Oppo has finally confirmed that it will launch a flagship smartphone. The last Oppo flagship smartphone was the Find 7 which was launched in 2014. Contrary to past industry gossips, Oppo hadn’t launched any flagship device in the form of Oppo Find 9 or Find 11 since then. Oppo has confirmed on its Weibo social media account that its next flagship smartphone will be called the Oppo Find X.

As per a leaked image of the Oppo Find X, the smartphone will feature a notch display along with a triple-lens camera setup at the back. The leaked image revealed that there is no fingerprint sensor on the device and it is speculated that phone might feature an in-display fingerprint scanner. Also, there could be support for face unlock. The device is expected to support 5G connectivity and could offer 5X loss-less optical zoom in the camera department.

In India, Oppo had launched its Realme brand along with the Realme 1 smartphone in the budget range. Oppo has been focusing on the budget segment for quite some time in India. While there is no official word, we can expect Oppo to launch its flagship Find X in here as well.

Talking about the features of the Realme 1, the smartphone comes in two storage variants and the company has priced the 3GB RAM and 6GB RAM version at Rs 8,990 and Rs 13,990 respectively. The 3GB RAM variant comes with 32GB internal storage while the 6GB RAM variant comes with 128GB internal storage. The Realme 1 smartphone is powered by MediaTek's 12nm octa-core Helio P60 processor with Android 8.1 Oreo-based Oppo’s Color interface. It offers a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front facing camera with AI capabilities.
