OPPO F7 Youth could be the Realme 1 for international markets: Image, Specifications [Exclusive]

The OPPO F7 Youth was leaked a few weeks ago, and it was expected to be launched alongside the OPPO F7. However, the Chinese brand did not launch the OPPO F7 Youth in India. Instead, the company went on to launch the Realme 1, an Amazon exclusive smartphone under a new brand name.

Now, we have enough reasons to believe that the OPPO F7 Youth and the Realme 1 are twi names for the same phone. The company might launch the OPPO F7 Youth in markets other than India since the Realme 1 has already been launched here. We’ve exclusively managed to dig out an image of the OPPO F7 Youth along with its specifications, just for you.

OPPO F7 Youth: Specifications

The OPPO F7 Youth features a 6-inch LTPS TFT LCD screen with Full HD+ resolution (1080×2160 pixels), 18 and an ability to display 16 million colours. There’s no screen notch, of course. The phone has a glass front and back. Its back will feature a diamond cut pattern, just like the Realme 1. The F7 Youth measures 156.5×75.2×7.8mm, weighs 155g, and will be available in two colours: Diamond Black and Solar Red.

The OPPO F7 Youth runs ColorOS 5.0, which is based on Android 8.1. It uses the same MediaTek Helip P60 chipset (with octa-core CPU and Mali-G72MP3 GPU) that’s used inside the Realme 1. There’s 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. You can expand the storage space through a microSD card slot (up to 256GB). It comes packed with a 3410mAh battery (it lacks VOOC fast charging), and features dual-nano SIM card slot, GPS, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, USB OTG, and a 3.5mm headphone port.

In terms of imaging, the phone features a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus, LED flash, and 1080p video recording. It will also feature an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with a fixed-focus length. Both the cameras on the phone will have f/2.2 aperture. Since there’s no fingerprint reader on the phone, you’ll have rely on the tried-and-tested PIN or password, or use the Face Unlock mechanism. Necessary sensors like an accelerometer, compass, light sensor, and proximity sensor will be present on the phone.
