It looks like Samsung is making a Galaxy S8 Lite

New press renders of Samsung’s forthcoming Galaxy S8 Lite shared on Weibo have given us our best look at the phone’s design, which was initially revealed in FCC and TENAA listings shown earlier this week, as reported by Phone Arena.

According to the specs and images from TENAA, the Galaxy S8 Lite looks very similar to the Galaxy S8, with Samsung’s “Infinity Display,” Bixby-dedicated button, and the same fingerprint scanner on the back of the phone, below the camera.

Internals show more budget-friendly specs that differ from the original Samsung S8. While the display size is identical to its flagship counterpart at 5.8-inches, the resolution is lower, and tops out at 2220 by 1080 pixels. The back of the phone has a 16-megapixel camera, and inside, there’s a Snapdragon 660 chip instead of the Galaxy S8’s Snapdragon 835 chip, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, and a 3,000mAh battery.

Press images show the phone will come in red and black, and there’s no word on when it will officially launch, though many guess it will arrive in China on May 21.
