Samsung drops price of Galaxy Tab S3 9.7 to rival new 9.7-inch iPad
Samsung has knocked $100 off the price of the Galaxy Tab S3 9.7 in a bid to woo customers showing an interest in Apple’s refreshed 9.7-inch iPad.
The firm has relisted the standard variant of the Galaxy Tab S3 9.7 (that’s the Wi-Fi model which comes bundled with an S Pen, otherwise known as the main 9.7-inch iPad competitor) on its website for $449.99 outright, or $75 per month on a six-month interest-free payment plan.
That’s a fair price for a tablet that comes with top-of-the-line internals, including a 9,7-inch Super AMOLED screen, a Snapdragon 820 CPU, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable internal storage, as well as a well-rounded set of software features – like a dedicated multi-tasking mode.
“If you want a tablet solely for getting the best video-watching experience around, then there isn’t a tablet better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3,” said Max Parker, our resident Mobile and Tablets Editor, in his comprehensive review, before awarding the unit a score of seven out of ten.

Those wanting to bag themselves a Galaxy Tab S3 9.7 for the reduced price of $449.99 will need to act fast, though. Samsung told Trusted Reviews that it’s a “flash promotion” that will expire at a random time on April 8 – without so much as a five-minute warning.
