Oppo F7, Vivo V9, Lenovo S5 India Launch Soon: Price in India, Launch Date, Leaked Images, Specifications, Features
Sister brands Oppo and Vivo are set to launch their first smartphones with an iPhone X-style notch in the Indian market later this month. Lenovo, on the other hand, will be introducing its latest budget Android smartphone to rival the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro in China next week. It is being speculated that the company may decide to launch the S5 in the Indian market very soon, although no exact date has been confirmed yet.
Oppo F7: Launch Date, Leaked Images, Specifications, Features, Expected Price in India
Chinese smartphone maker will soon expand its “Selfie Expert” lineup with the F7, successor to the F5 from last year. The Oppo F7 will be the company’s first offering to feature a notch on the top of the display, not very different from the one on Apple’s iPhone X. According to rumors, the Oppo F7 is expected to feature a 6.2-inch sized display with 1080 x 2280 Full HD+ resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio. The screen-to-body ratio of the Oppo F7 is said to be 89.09%, which is higher than the majority of mid-range smartphones out there. For selfies, the Oppo F7 will have a 25-megapixel snapper on the front with enhanced Artificial Intelligence features compared to its predecessor. OPPO F7 is expected to offer the Face Unlock feature as well, although we don’t expect to see any major improvements with regards to security. The rest of the OPPO F7’s hardware specifications remain a complete mystery at this point.
Oppo will be launching the F7 in India on the 26th of this month in the presence of 3 Indian cricket stars – Hardik Pandya, Rohit Sharma, and Ravichandran Ashwin. While the pricing will only be confirmed on the 26th, we expect the Oppo F7 to be priced somewhere between Rs.20,000 to Rs.25,000.
Vivo V9: Launch Date, Leaked Images, Specifications, Features, Expected Price in India
The Vivo V9 will succeed the current Vivo V7 in the Indian market. Vivo India has confirmed that the smartphone will be made official at an event on March 27th in the country. Similar to the OPPO F7, the Vivo V9 will also feature a 19:9 aspect ratio display with an iPhone X-like notch on the top. As revealed by leaked renders and live images of the upcoming smartphone, the Vivo V7 will also have dual cameras on the back, with the two sensors placed vertically in a similar fashion as the iPhone X. The fingerprint sensor will also be placed on the back of the handset, slightly above the Vivo logo. Since the Vivo V9 will be a selfie-focused device, it will feature an impressive 24MP camera on the front with a Moonlight Glow flash.
The Vivo V7, which was launched in India in November last year, failed to garner much love from consumers in India, mainly due to the sub-par hardware specifications on offer. While the V7 was launched in India at Rs.18,990, the Vivo V9 is rumored to be priced at Rs.25,000 in India, which suggests the smartphone will be quite a major upgrade over the V7 in terms of hardware specifications. We expect Vivo to launch a Vivo V9 Plus variant as well, and going by the rumors regarding the V9 pricing in India, it is possible that the V9 Plus will be launched at around Rs.30,000 when it lands here.
Lenovo S5: Launch Date, Leaked Images, Specifications, Features, Expected Price in India
The Lenovo S5 is going to be officially announced in China on the 20th of this month as the company’s answer to Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 5 Pro. While Lenovo hasn’t confirmed anything officially just yet, it is expected that the Lenovo S5 will be arriving in India very soon. Whether or not the formal launch in India happens before the end of this month remains to be seen. Since Lenovo is going to market the S5 as a Redmi Note 5 Pro rival, you can expect the smartphone to be priced at somewhere around Rs.13,000 for the base variant.
While we do not know much about the hardware specifications of the Lenovo S5 at this point, the smartphone is expected to feature a metal body with a reflective rear panel. Rumors suggest the Lenovo S5 could come with a whopping 6000mAh capacity battery, which would make it the ideal choice for power users looking for a new budget Android smartphone. On the software front, the Lenovo S5 is rumored to come with ZUK’s custom ZUI skin on top.
