OPPO celebrates a night of OPM with fans at UP Fair
Hundreds of Filipinos celebrated peace on Saturday, during a night filled with music from some of the country's best bands.
Music lovers of all ages thronged the University of the Philippines Sunken Garden in Diliman on February 17, on the highly anticipated last night of the annual UP Fair.
Dubbed "UP Fair Saturday: ROOTS Music Festival", the event was organized by the UP Economics Society and the UP Underground Music Community, in partnership with OPPO Philippines and One Music PH, to promote a culture of peace through unity in original Pinoy music (OPM).
Local bands that performed their hit songs at ROOTS included Franco, Urbandub, Sandwich, Imago, Orange & Lemons, Ben&Ben, Autotelic, IV of Spades, Pedicab, tide/edit, and all-time hit-maker Aegis.
While waiting for their favorite bands to play, fans also enjoyed fair attractions and rides, food stalls, and a University Student Council-sponsored scavenger hunt.
The OPPO booth was a hit with students who waited in line to get the highest score in the hoops arcade game, and win a brand new selfie-expert OPPO F5 smartphone.
While in the queue, some fair-goers took selfies using their OPPO F5 phones, which feature a 20-megapixel (MP) artificial intelligence-powered front camera.
The one who got the highest hoops score, as well as two lucky winners who posted their selfies online got new OPPO F5 smartphones.
Profits from the fair will be donated to the UP Economics Society Scholarship Fund's beneficiaries and scholars.
Updates about OPPO's latest offerings can be found on their website, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
