Oppo plans launch in Europe in June - report

Chinese smartphone market Oppo will launch in Europe in the first half of 2018. Its phones will go on sale in June in Spain, industry sources told Spanish paper Expansion. 

Following the launch of Xiaomi in 2017, Oppo is expected to start sales in several European countries, likely Spain, France and Italy, the report said. The launch will follow the release of a new range of devices by Oppo in May, which will be available at its debut in Europe. 

The company plans to work with major retailers and distributors to build market share quickly, including operators and electronics stores. An Oppo delegation was already in Madrid in late 2017 to start talks with potential partners.
