Oppo A83 with octa-core processor leaked: Here's a look at its specifications and features
You’d think that 2017 is coming to an end and so will the launches for the year, but things don’t seem to be going that way. If the latest report is to be believed, Oppo is already through a new smartphone that carried the name A83, and has even received certification by the China’s TENNA (the country’s telecom regulatory agency).
Along with Huawei and Honor’s events lined up this month, according to IBTimes, Oppo will also be holding a launch event to reveal its final smartphone of the year.
Going by the TENAA listing, the purported Oppo A83 will features a 5.7-inch display with a resolution of 1440×720 pixels. It will be powered by an octa-core 2.5GHz processor, paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage, which can be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card. Further, the smartphone will sport a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera with an LED flash, and on the front, there will be an 8-megapixel camera.
The smartphone will run Android 7.1.1 Nougat. Connectivity options on the device is shown to include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and GPS. The smartphone is fueled by a 3,090 mAh battery. It measures 150.5×73.1×7.7 millimeter, and weighs at only 143 grams.
Further, the listing also reveals that the Oppo A83 will come in two colours options, a black and gold. Now, there is no official date that has been revealed for the launch of the smartphone, if at all there will be any this month. But, passing through a the certification generally means the device is now ready to hit the market. Therefore, expecting a launch by end of this month wouldn’t be entirely wrong.
