Oppo F5 Youth Edition goes official with 16MP front camera, 6-inch bezel-less display
Early this month, Oppo launched the successor to the F3, aka the Oppo F5 in India. The key highlights of the Oppo F5 come with near bezel-less design, facial recognition, and a massive 20-megapixel front-facing camera with AI Beauty Recognition technology. The company has now unveiled the Youth Edition of the Oppo F5 which also comes with 6-inch FHD+ display, but then, it includes a downgraded camera setup compared to the original phone. That being said, the smartphone is also priced much cheaper compared to the Oppo F5.
The smartphone, aka the Oppo F5 Youth Edition, is announced in the Philippines for the time being and comes with a price tag of Rs PHP 13,990, which roughly translates around Rs 18,000. On the other hand, the original Oppo F5 is available at a starting price of Rs 19,990. The Oppo F5 comes in two variants -- with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage for Rs 19,990, while the second one comes with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of RAM for Rs 24,990.
Coming to the new Oppo F5 Youth, the smartphone much like the original Oppo F5 comes with an edge-to-edge display and minimal bezels. The smartphone boasts a 6-inch Full HD + panel with 2160x1080 pixels resolution and an aspect ratio of 18:9. The phone comes in two colours -- black and gold.
